Because she's only a Tulpa she disintegrates much like Diane's Tupla does when she realises what she is. All the negative energy is destroyed. The fireman needed cooper for her to remember. He sacrificed himself for the greater good. Judy and Bob only really exist in the mind of Laura so she can repress the reality that she was raped by her father while her mother acted ambivalent to her abuse (the horse is the white of the eyes.) No Laura, no Laura's dream, no evil. BUT what's real and what's not is kinda a never ending question.
